Joann Trejo, PhD, MBA
Dr. Trejo’s scientific research revealed how cellular responses are regulated by G protein-coupled receptors in the context of vascular inflammation and cancer. Her research has been continuously funded by the NIH, including a R35 Outstanding Investigator Award. She was the recipient of the American Heart Association Established Investigator Award and the American Society for Cell Biology E. E. Just Award for outstanding scientific achievement. In 2020, she was elected as an American Society for Cell Biology Fellow and to the 100 Inspiring Hispanic/Latinx Scientists in America.
